VistaJet is the first and only global aviation company. Our IT team is growing and we are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead development teams and actively participate with the project managers and business stakeholders to deliver solutions to our business.

 

We work in a fast, dynamic and global environment that will require you to be self-motivated, lead and communicate effectively to successfully deliver multiple product roadmap for our business units. Our developers are based in multiple countries and this might require travelling time.

 

You will be reporting to our Head of Software Development. We are a flat organization where you will interact on a daily basis with our CIO and the reast of the executive team.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple geographically dispersed development teams (quality analysts, product owners and developers) to deliver our product roadmap;
  • Championing and responsibillity for the software development process by making sure it is efficient, effective and followed by all the community;
  • Acting as a senior technical contributor to the team, fostering technical debates on new functionalities and issue resolution to help ensure a high quality development process;
  • Acting as 2nd level of support for the applications developed in house – with deep knowledge on the internals of the company’s systems and how they work to deliver business value;
  • Leading our database and middleware service providers by assessing, reviewing and driving the delivery of new solutions, maintenance plans and problem determination.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Experience: 

 

  • Hands on software development (7+ years at least).
  • Previous leadership roles. Development Methodologies

 

Skill set:

 

  • Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban and Lean development processes).
  • Design Thinking and User Story techniques.
  • Backlog Grooming and User Story Map.
  • Software Design Patterns  (ex: Circuit Breaker).
  • Continuous Delivery.
  • Software Development Metrics (Usage, Efficiency, Quality, Availability).
  • JAVA, Oracle, REACT, SPRING, JMS, Redis, Ehcahce, GIT
