    To continue to execute on its ambitious growth strategy, VistaJet is in the process of setting up an enterprise project management office (EPMO).

     

    The EPMO will introduce uniform and consistent best practices to successfully plan, execute and deliver key initiatives and projects across the business, and manage and oversee the entire project portfolio from project initiation to closure. It will deliver its mandate via an existing team of IT Project Managers, already established within our IT team, and a small team of non-IT / generalist business Project Managers working directly within the EPMO.

     

    To this end we are looking for an experienced Project Manager (non-IT) to join the EPMO and add to its collective skillset and resource capability. The role is suitable for someone having the requisite technical competence and qualifications, who recognises the importance of relationships and communication, and has mastered the basic skills and behaviours for delivering results through people.

     

    The role will be based in Malta but you should but be willing to travel (mainly to London and New York) from time to time.

    Your Responsibilities

    Working within the EPMO, and reporting to the Chief Projects Officer, the Project Manager will be:

    • Providing end-to-end project management and develop detailed project plans to track progress;
    • Developing project scopes and objectives, identifying and involving all relevant stakeholders;
    • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects;
    • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;
    • Ensuring resource availability and allocation;
    • Using appropriate techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs;
    • Measuring project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques;
    • Reporting and escalating to management as needed;
    • Performing risk management to minimize project risks;
    • Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, third parties and vendors;
    • Creating and maintaining appropriate project documentation;
    • Seeking opportunities for improvement and suggest new projects.

    Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

    • Proven working experience as a project manager in fast growth / sizeable organisations;
    • PMP or PRINCE II certification plus relevant academic background, preferably in the fields of business/operations management, computer science or engineering;
    • Ability to manage complexity and coordinate multiple inputs and demands with clarity and focus;
    • Solid organizational skills and master in the art of ‘getting things done’;
    • Hands-on experience in the practical application of project management best practice;
    • Strong working knowledge of modern project management systems and collaboration tools;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
