    This role is a fantastic opportunity for a senior manager with strong technical background to lead Vista Global’s IT Operations based in the United States.

    We are looking for an experienced Head of IT Operations to join our Technology team in New York. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will work with Tech teams from the different companies in the Vista Global group to deliver a unified technology strategy across IT Infrastructure and Support, Corporate Applications and unique specialised software developed in house.

    While performing this role, you will ensure our IT Infrastructure is reliable, secure, cost efficient and with high performance levels to support our offices and customers worldwide; you will also drive the delivery of bespoke applications to support the company’s business requirements to create value for our customers and gain efficiency in operations.

    The role will be based in New York but international travel to other company sites and/or key suppliers’ sites will be required.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Build and manage highly effective teams that deliver IT solutions for the all business areas (IT Infrastructure and Applications), including leading through very complex prioritization challenges;
    • Work across teams, both within the Technology Department (IT Development, Quality Assurance, DevOps, Product and Project Management, IT Administration, IT Security, IT & Application Support) and Business Areas (Customer Services, Flight Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal);
    • Drive the continuous innovation and expansion of our global IT infrastructure;
    • Improve the quality of end user support, addressing escalations effectively and with the required level of urgency;
    • Apply best practices for IT Service Management, minimising outages whilst keeping an up-to-date and secured infrastructure;
    • Maintain and improve IT vendor management processes to minimise costs and maximise value;
    • Work well under pressure and thrive in a high-change, fast-paced environment;
    • Demonstrate a customer-oriented attitude with a passionate drive to make processes more efficient using technology;
    • Manage levels of skillset amongst teams, ensuring necessary training is attained by team members;
    • Coach and develop members of the team.

    Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

    • Minimum of 12 + years applicable work experience. University degree in relevant field, Masters/MBA preferred;
    • Leadership - Must be a strategic thinker able to convert transformative ideas to practical solutions that deliver successful results;
    • Ability to influence others – must be very skilled at informing, motivating and leading others to action on key project deliverables;
    • Organizational agility – must possess the ability to interface with and influence all levels of the organization and across functional boundaries;
    • Passionate engagement – thrive to understand end to end business processes and ability to deep dive on problems and solution design with the technology team to come up with creative action plans.
