We are looking for a hands-on Team Leader to join the IT Infrastructure department working from the Vista Global office in Mayfair, London.

Your Responsibilities

The successful application will join a department responsible for supporting Vista Global’s IT infrastructure services, as well as the internal and external users in Mayfair and other global locations. Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Act as a technical lead on specific projects, and help track and manage projects across the department;
  • Act as an escalation point within the department, for both technical enquiries and IT service delivery issues;
  • Help mentor and develop members of the department;
  • Propose and lead initiatives within the department, such as process improvements, or new training programs;
  • Help define and deliver on strategic and architectural goals for the department, and wider IT estate;
  • Engage and build relationships with both technical and non-technical users and stakeholders across the business;
  • Vendor management, and other third-party liaisons;
  • Deputise for the Global Head of IT Infrastructure, when required;

The role sits within the IT Infrastructure department, which is part of a wider, global IT business unit, and reports to the Global Head of IT Infrastructure.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • 10 years' experience of within similar IT roles with both technical and leadership responsibilities;
  • A degree in computer science or a related subject;
  • Technical certifications are considered advantageous.

Candidates should have skills and professional experience in a range of technologies, including four out of the following areas, listed in order of priority, with additional areas considered advantageous:

  • Experience working with a large, complex multi-site organisation, with experience of managing hybrid on-prem and cloud technology estates;
  • Microsoft Windows Server technologies;
  • Linux server administration;
  • Microsoft Office 365 and Azure AD services;
  • Amazon AWS services and technologies;
  • VMware vSphere, Horizon View, and Citrix XenApp hypervisor platforms;
  • Networking & collaboration - Cisco experience beneficial;
  • Automation and orchestration technologies, including PowerShell, Ansible, Kubernetes;
  • Experience in working with Lean, Agile & DevOps methodologies.
  • Backup and monitoring systems - Veeam experience beneficial;
  • Infrastructure hardware, including server and storage appliances;
  • MDM and EMM systems, AirWatch / Workspace ONE experience beneficial;

Candidates should also demonstrate the following non-technical skills:

  • Leadership and mentoring of local, and remote staff;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal English;
  • Able to communicate with both technical and non-technical parties;
  • Strong troubleshooting skills;
  • Organisational and time management skills, must be willing to work under own direction, as well as direct the work of others;
  • Able to work under pressure and willing to go the extra mile when required;
  • Team player;
  • Motivation to learn and develop new skills;
  • Able and Willing to travel international.
