We are looking for a Network Administrator with a broad range of networking skills and experience to join the IT department working from the Vista Global office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Your Responsibilities

The successful application will join a department responsible for supporting Vista Global’s IT infrastructure services, as well as the internal and external users in Fort Lauderdale and other global locations. Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Networking lead on projects, including new office and datacentre builds;
  • Initiatives to support and improve the global network, including enhanced monitoring, redundancy technologies, or managing network support contracts;
  • Network maintenance, including switch or firewall firmware upgrades;
  • BAU networking changes, including updating firewall rules, routing changes, or VLAN modifications;
  • Networking support activities, including failed networking hardware, or network access issues.

The role sits within the IT Infrastructure department, which is part of a wider, global IT business unit, and reports to the Global Head of IT Infrastructure.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Desired experience and qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience of network administration;
  • A degree in computer science or a related subject;
  • Technical certifications are considered advantageous.

Candidates should have a range of networking skills and experience, preferably within large, complex multi-site organisations with a focus towards Cisco technologies, covering a selection of the below:

  • Core networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP;
  • IP addressing, subnetting and access list management;
  • Network switching, including Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches;
  • Firewalls technologies, including Cisco ASA and Firepower firewalls;
  • Wireless networking; including Cisco and Meraki access points and wireless LAN controllers;
  • Networking security, including access control, VPNs, PKI, Cisco ISE, IDS/IPS, firewall services and AMP;
  • Network management, monitoring and performance.

We would also welcome applications from candidates with broader infrastructure knowledge, with skills and experience in any of the following technologies, listed in order of preference, also considered as advantageous:

  • Microsoft Windows Server technologies;
  • Linux server administration;
  • Microsoft Office 365 and Azure AD services;
  • Amazon AWS services and technologies;
  • VMware vSphere, Horizon View, and Citrix XenApp hypervisor platforms;
  • Telephony and collaboration systems, including Cisco Call Manager and Webex;
  • Automation and orchestration technologies, including PowerShell, Ansible, Kubernetes;
  • Experience in working with Lean, Agile & DevOps methodologies.
  • Backup and monitoring systems - Veeam experience beneficial;
  • Infrastructure hardware, including server and storage appliances;
  • MDM and EMM systems, AirWatch / Workspace ONE experience beneficial;

 Finally, candidates should also demonstrate the following non-technical skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal English;
  • Able to communicate with both technical and non-technical parties;
  • Strong troubleshooting skills;
  • Organisational and time management skills, must be willing to work under own direction;
  • Able to work under pressure and willing to go the extra mile when required;
  • Team player;
  • Motivation to learn and develop new skills;
  • Able and Willing to travel international.
