Due to the expansion of flight activities, we are seeking a determined and highly motivated Duty Manager to be based at our Hamburg Office on an indefinite contract.

Your Responsibilities

The Duty Manager will be the central decision makers coordinating the efforts of Operations, Flight Support, Client Service, Crew Planning and Maintenance Operations Control to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all flights, placing the customer at the centre of all decisions.

 

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Ensuring the customer remains the top priority
  • Ensuring the tactical team remains effective throughout the shift through delegation of taskings and the balancing of workload
  • Coordinating the response to daily issues (AOGs, delays, Wx)
  • Working with Client Services, and other commercial teams to coordinate service recoveries
  • Keeping oversight of all high profile and demo flights
  • Working with the flight operations management team ensuring all operations are conducted within the scope of the operation specifications
  • Working with, and giving direction to all functions within the operations arena to ensure the fleet is always optimised and operating in the most efficient manner while taking into consideration aircraft availability, maintenance schedule, operational restrictions, and customer preferences as well as crew welfare

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Proven experience in a key management/supervisory role
  • A demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Previous experience in managing large teams in a fast paced environment
  • A natural problem solver 
  • An excellent track record in their respective field of expertise and demonstrate ability to gain competence across all departments during the training phase
